- Purchase voucher: A purchase voucher is used to record the purchase of stock items from a supplier. When creating a purchase voucher, the stock item details, such as quantity, rate, and amount, are entered along with the supplier details. This updates the stock ledger and also records the financial transaction in the purchase ledger.
- Sales voucher: A sales voucher is used to record the sale of stock items to customers. When creating a sales voucher, the stock item details, such as quantity, rate, and amount, are entered along with the customer details. This updates the stock ledger and also records the financial transaction in the sales ledger.
- Stock transfer voucher: A stock transfer voucher is used to record the transfer of stock items from one location to another within the same business. This could be from one branch to another or from a warehouse to a retail store, for example. When creating a stock transfer voucher, the stock item details and the location details are entered.
- Stock journal voucher: A stock journal voucher is used to record the movement of stock items due to reasons such as wastage, shrinkage, or stock-taking adjustments. When creating a stock journal voucher, the stock item details and the reason for the movement are entered.
