Save Filter, Create Filter in Google Sheets

Save Filter, Create Filter in Google Sheets

Google Sheets allows you to filter data in a sheet to view specific information or to work with a subset of data. Here's how you can create and save filters in Google Sheets:
  1. Select the data range you want to filter by clicking the range of cells you want to filter.
  2. Go to the "Data" menu and click on "Filter". This will add drop-down menus to the headers in the selected data range.
  3. In the drop-down menu for a column, you can select the filter criteria that you want to apply. For example, you can select specific values, ranges of values, or conditions that apply to the data in that column.
  4. Once you have applied the filters you want, you can save the filter view by clicking on the "File" menu, then selecting "Make a copy". You will be asked to name the new sheet, and once you have named it, it will contain only the filtered data.
  5. To reapply the filter in the future, simply select the filter view and go to the "Data" menu and click on "Filter". The filters will automatically be reapplied to the data in the view.
Note: When you apply a filter in Google Sheets, it only affects the view of the data, not the actual data in the sheet. To remove the filter, simply go to the "Data" menu and click on "Filter" again.
