Make Attendance Sheet in MS Excel
Here's a simple way to create an Attendance Sheet in Microsoft Excel:
- Open Microsoft Excel.
- Go to a new blank worksheet.
- In cell A1, type "Name".
- In cell B1, type "Date".
- In cell C1, type "Attendance".
- In cell A2, type the first name of a student or employee.
- In cell B2, enter the date for which you want to record attendance.
- In cell C2, enter either "Present" or "Absent".
- Repeat steps 6 to 8 for each student or employee and for each date that you want to record attendance for.
- Use filters to view attendance for a specific date or for a specific individual by selecting the range of cells (A1 to C2) and going to Data > Filter.
- You can also use conditional formatting to highlight attendance status. For example, select the range of cells in column C (Attendance), go to Home > Conditional Formatting > Highlight Cell Rules > Equal To, and in the Equal To dialog box, type "Absent" and choose a fill color, such as red. This will automatically highlight all cells with "Absent" in red.
