Contra Voucher – 1

A contra voucher is used to record transactions that involve cash or bank transactions in Tally Prime. Here are the steps to create a contra voucher in Tally Prime:

1. Open Tally Prime and select the company in which you want to record the voucher entry.
2. From the Gateway of Tally Prime, select the option “Accounting Vouchers” by clicking on “+ Voucher” at the top right corner and selecting “Contra” from the list.
3. In the contra voucher creation screen, select the bank or cash account from which the money is being withdrawn in the “Debit” field.
4. In the “Particulars” section, enter the name of the account to which the money is being deposited in the “Credit” field.
5. Enter the amount of the transaction in the “Amount” field.
6. Enter any additional details related to the transaction in the “Narration” field.
7. Once you have entered all the details, you can save the voucher by pressing “Ctrl+A”.
8. Repeat the same process for each contra voucher transaction that you want to record in Tally Prime.

Note: It's important to ensure that you have set up the bank or cash account and the account to which the money is being deposited in Tally Prime before creating the contra voucher to accurately track your cash inflows and outflows.
