How to Make Password in Excel File (MS Excel)

How Make Password Your Excel File

Here is how you can password protect an Excel file in Microsoft Excel:
  1. Open the Excel file you want to password protect.
  2. Go to the "File" menu and select "Save As".
  3. In the "Save As" dialog box, select "Excel Workbook" as the file format.
  4. Click the "Tools" button in the "Save As" dialog box and select "General Options".
  5. In the "General Options" dialog box, enter a password in the "Password to open" field.
  6. Re-enter the password to confirm it.
  7. Click "OK" to close the "General Options" dialog box.
  8. Click "Save" to save the password-protected Excel file.
Now, whenever someone opens the file, they will be prompted to enter the password you specified. Without the correct password, they will not be able to access the file or its contents. Note that it's important to keep the password secure and not to forget it, as there is no way to recover a lost password.
