Freeze Panes Option in MS Excel

 Freeze Panes Option

The Freeze Panes option in Excel allows you to freeze specific rows and columns in your worksheet so that they remain visible while you scroll through the rest of the data. This is useful when you want to keep important data in view while you are working with other data in your worksheet. Here are the steps to freeze panes in Excel:
  1. Select the cell where you want to split the worksheet. This is the cell that will be the top-left cell in the unfrozen portion of your worksheet.
  2. Click the "View" tab in the ribbon and select "Freeze Panes".
  3. Select "Freeze Panes" from the drop-down menu.
  4. The selected rows and columns will now be frozen in place and will remain visible as you scroll through the rest of the worksheet.
Note: You can also freeze rows or columns individually by selecting the first row or column you want to freeze, clicking the "View" tab in the ribbon, and selecting "Freeze Top Row" or "Freeze First Column".

In conclusion, the Freeze Panes option in Excel is a useful feature that helps you keep important data in view as you work with other data in your worksheet. By freezing panes, you can save time and make it easier to manage your data in Excel.
