Step 1: Create Objects

The first step is to create the objects that you want to blend. You can create any number of objects, but for the blend tool to work correctly, the objects should have similar shapes and sizes. Once you have created the objects, select them all using the Pick tool.

Step 2: Open the Blend Tool

To open the blend tool, go to the "Effects" menu, select "Blend," and then choose "Blend Options." Alternatively, you can use the shortcut key Ctrl + Alt + B.

Step 3: Choose the Blend Type

In the "Blend Options" window, you can choose the blend type. There are two types of blends: "Steps" and "Smooth." The "Steps" blend creates a stepped blend with distinct steps between the objects. The "Smooth" blend creates a smooth blend with no visible steps.

Step 4: Set the Blend Steps or Distance

If you have chosen the "Steps" blend type, you will need to set the number of steps you want to create. If you have chosen the "Smooth" blend type, you will need to set the distance between the objects. You can do this by moving the slider or by entering the value in the box.

Step 5: Preview the Blend

After setting the blend options, click on the "Preview" button to preview the blend. If you are not satisfied with the blend, you can adjust the blend options and preview again until you get the desired result.

Step 6: Apply the Blend

Once you are satisfied with the blend, click on the "Apply" button to apply the blend to the objects.

Step 7: Edit the Blend

If you need to edit the blend, select the blended objects using the Pick tool and double-click on the "Blend" icon in the "Object Properties" docker. This will open the "Blend Options" window, where you can adjust the blend options and preview the blend.

Conclusion

The blend tool is a useful feature in CorelDRAW that allows designers to create smooth transitions between objects. By following the above steps, you can use the blend tool to create stunning designs in CorelDRAW. Experiment with different blend types and options to create unique designs that stand out.
