Format Tab – Conditional Formatting, Number Formatting in Google Sheets

Format Tab – Conditional Formatting, Number Formatting in Google Sheets

Conditional formatting and number formatting are two important features in Google Sheets that allow you to format cells based on certain conditions or rules.

Conditional formatting: This feature allows you to format cells based on specific conditions. For example, you could format cells with high values in red, and cells with low values in green. To use conditional formatting, go to "Format" > "Conditional formatting" and set up a rule based on the value in a cell or range of cells. You can also choose from several predefined formats, or create your own custom format.

Number formatting: This feature allows you to format numbers in cells to make them easier to read and understand. For example, you could format numbers as currency, percent, or with a specific number of decimal places. To use number formatting, select the cells you want to format, go to "Format" > "Number" and select a format from the options provided. You can also create your own custom number format by using the formatting syntax provided in Google Sheets.

By using conditional formatting and number formatting, you can make your data in Google Sheets more visually appealing and easier to understand.
