Double VLOOKUP Formula in MS Excel

Double VLOOKUP Formula in MS Excel

In Microsoft Excel, a double VLOOKUP formula is a formula that performs two VLOOKUPs (vertical lookups) in one formula. The double VLOOKUP is used when the data you want to retrieve is stored in two different tables and you want to avoid using multiple VLOOKUP formulas.

Here's an example of how a double VLOOKUP formula could be used:

=VLOOKUP(A2, Table1, 2, FALSE) * VLOOKUP(A2, Table2, 2, FALSE)

In this formula, A2 is the value you want to look up, Table1 is the first table where the first VLOOKUP will retrieve data from, and Table2 is the second table where the second VLOOKUP will retrieve data from. The "2" in each VLOOKUP refers to the second column in the respective table, and the "FALSE" means that the VLOOKUP will return an exact match.
