Cost Centers Hide Details in Tally Prime

In Tally Prime, you can hide the details of cost centers in certain reports and vouchers by using the "Hide Cost Category Details" feature. This can be useful when you want to display the total amount of expenses or revenues for a cost center, without revealing the details of the cost categories that make up that total.

To hide the details of cost centers in Tally Prime, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Gateway of Tally screen and select "Accounting Vouchers" or "Inventory Vouchers", depending on the type of voucher you want to use.
2. Create the voucher as you normally would, selecting the relevant cost center(s) and entering the transaction details.
3. In the voucher screen, press F12 to open the configuration screen.
4. In the configuration screen, set "Show Cost Category Details" to "No".
5. Save the voucher.

By setting "Show Cost Category Details" to "No", the details of the cost categories for each cost center will be hidden in the voucher. When you generate reports that include this voucher, the report will display the total amount of expenses or revenues for each cost center, but will not reveal the details of the cost categories.

This feature can be useful when you want to display summarized information in reports, while still maintaining the ability to view the detailed information if needed. It can also help to protect sensitive financial information, by hiding the details of individual transactions.
